The Connecticut Data Server provides access to U.S. Census and other databases for the State of Connecticut by building a data table to your specifications. After you have built the table, you can print it or export it as a comma-delimited file. The table will include geographic identifiers so that it can be joined or linked to the geographic boundary files for Connecticut, its counties, towns, and other geographical areas downloaded from MAGIC. To build a table of data for printing or exporting, you must...

  1. Select a study area (for example, the entire state or a single labor market area).
  2. Select the geographical units of interest within the study area (for example, labor market areas within the state or towns within a single labor market area).
  3. Select the database that contains the information for the geographical unit of interest within the study area (for example, 1990 U.S. Census of Population (STF3A)).
  4. Select the data fields of interest from the database (for example, P5 Households).

After you have made your selections, you will see a preview of your choices. Make changes to your selections, if necessary. Then submit your request.
